Does anyone know the formula for finding out your MPG with 31" tires? I havent had my spedometer adjusted yet so my odometer counts slow.

How have you been my friend???

Fill up your tank, set the trip odometer, burn your gas...Then get the total miles travelled on that tank of gas

NEXT---Fill up tank and see how many Gals. it took to fill up ----then divide the two which should = your mile to gallon!

I average 18-20 miles per gallon ( I know that sucks but nuke had the same problem) still wondering why????

Hope this Helps!!!!

...and then after that, knowing the measured diameter of original tires (let's say 28 inches), multiply the result obtained above by 31/28. (since the car will have been driven more actual miles than indicated because the larger size tires will rotate a lesser number of turns for travelling same distance).

ok so after doing the normal equation, I multiplied the number by 1.14285 (which is 32 divided by 28) I got 21.17 miles to the gallon. Is this similar to what your guys are getting?

@ 60 mph average with stock 205's I'm getting between 24-25 mpg. My car is very sensitive to increased speed. If I'm doing 70 mph I only get about 22 mpg.

I've clocked mine with a GPS and I know I'm 16% off. At 50 I'm doing 58 so that means every 100 miles on the o-meter I'm going 116 miles. All Kais' came with 205s which are 27.1 inches tall (205 / .75 x 24.5 x 2 + 15 = 27.1). 25.4 converts mm to inches. Your should be the same as mine.
Hope that helps, Dennis

I just noticed I did the formula wrong. I did 32/28, which is ok cause the old tires were 27" and my now one's are 31". It had the same result. give or take a half mile or so. he he. I'm still interested on wht everyones gas milage is. I have one of the few SOHC engines which I hate for hills but it still runs well and gets decient MPG.
