Hey Everyone,
I'm under the hood and I'm lost. I'm looking all around the timing belt covers and valve covers and I'm not seeing it. I have a replacement camshaft position sensor so I think I know what I'm looking for. Just don't know where it is.

My Haynes and Chilton manual for a 97 say its on the timing belt cover. I know its a different engine, but thought it might give me a hint at where to look but its not on the timing belt cover. Alldata info isn't helping me. Neither is my hangover.

Why am I not seeing it? I

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

I'm interpreting the pic as, the CMP sensor is under the intake manifold.

I know its not under the timing belt cover because I had it off yesterday trying to find the dang thing.

What a pain in the <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the pics. and the link. That's a sweet site!

Found it. Its located between the driver side firewall and the last port on the head from the intake manifold. Its impossible to get to without removing the intake manifold. Unless you've got the arm girth of a 5 year old.
