Getting the Wheeling Fever
Just curious about what tires come on US version Monteros. My 2007 Colombian assembled V6 came with Pirelli Scorpion P235-75R15s.

Mine came with 225/80/R15 105S Firestone WILDERNESS AT
and with 225/80/R15 104S YOKOHAMA SUPERDIGGER V as spare tire. I do not know , what are AT and V standing for? Sticker on the driver's door frame mentioned 225/80/R15 104S. I assume it is from factory.

I have feelinig OOP will force me to change them for MOTOMASTER <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> with DOT, because they are more safe, of cause <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Any suggestion, what I can use?

Thanks! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Seems very strange to me that the vehicle came with one brand of tire on the ground and a different one as a spare. Are we talking a new vehicle here?

Body Damage is Cool
no vehicle comes with 2 different kinds of tires from new...unless its a car with a little donut spare tire. the Yokohama Super Digger "V" is a roman numeral for "5". my old ram 50 had a super digger "IV" as a spare when I got it and that was the original tire from the truck. I could tell from all the cracks on the sidewall from it being 16 years old and tucked up underneath the box.

I wish! 15 years old but with 18.000 km on it.
Looks like tires were changed in Japan, I do not know why.
Another thing, spare tire has 104S and other four 105S. Maybe previous owner changed it. Is it big difference, I mean 104S and 105S ?

Spare tire is absolutly new and other four almost new with thread even more deep than on spare one. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

according to the my window price tag sticker 1989 was :
235/75r15 all season radial (x5)

since we are so far from original question, this wont matter... what's the deal on a third seat? there are hooks for it. Does that mean the back seat can be moved to the rear, or is there another seat?

I have my tools in the way right now, or I would go look for myself. maybe the owners manual will say

1989 5 door montero 3.0 auto
stock original Japanese
about 200k miles
