Need a Spot

hi i have an 84 mitsu pickup with a 4d55t. I'm wondering if i could transplant a 4d56t engine when this one gives out. Does a 4d56 engine have the same engine mounts, will it fit the 5spd trans? need different radiator? anyone tried it yet?
thanks,
p

I read at www.pocuk.com/forums that the 4d56t is basically the stroked version of the 4d55t(which originaly came in the mitsu). What motor do you have in your mistu?

Not sure about the mounts and such, but the 4D56T will be taller due to the intercooler being on top of the engine.

That is depending on the year of course. You could always relocate the intercooler to another spot. Just takes a little fabricating which comes along with any swap.
