Need a Spot
My back up lights are not working even though all other blinkers and lights are. I checked the bulbs and fuses but all seems ok with those, any ideas anyone?

Also, for a couple years now my vent system fan would only work on the highest speed so I was alwasy blasting it then turning it off to regulate. Now it's starting to just cut off when it's on, then I turn it off for a minute then turn it back on (on the highest level) and it works again. I've heard it's a switch and it's easy to fix, I just don't know where to look. Any directive is most appreciated.

Thanks

Are you sure yer gitting power to the backup lights?

Fer safety's sake, use a 2nd person to help you check power to the backup lights as the engine must be on and running.

If yer not gitting power, it could be the backup switch or the backup light relay. According the FSM, the relay should be located in the left kick panel.

Is this an automatic or manual? If it's a manual, check the backup switch located on the tranny.

Body Damage is Cool
where the blower plugs in under the passenger side dash seems to get corroded, the speed of the fan is regulated by resistance, so if its corroded naturally there is more resistance and the lower fan settings are not going to work...

My 97 back up lights work when the key's on, I don't think there's a need to have the engine actually running.

My bad...I just have a habit of rotating the key all the way...

I just checked...you can have the ignition on without running the engine...and the backup lights work!
