Getting the Wheeling Fever
does anyone know where to track down a brand new YJ frame for a 6cyl?
my friends has rotted out and he has replaced it with a used one
and it has failed already too.
He would like a tube frame but can't find that either.
either way he would like a new one.
any help would be much appreciated
thanks all
Jay

Have you checked with Four Wheel Drive Hardware in Columbiana, Ohio? I know they have CJ frames -- they might also have YJ frames.

There is a well-known frame maker called Matkins Extreme Frames. Their web site is: http://www.matkinsextreme.com/

They make YJ frames. Call them at: 406-248-3797

I don't know what their prices are. They are really heavy duty frames, so I suspect they aren't cheap. Good luck.

2 YJ frames already???!!! Man, I'd say it's time for another vehicle!

My wife says my Heep is "financially irresponsible" and that I need something new with a warranty. I ask her if she wants to make the payments. I tell her, "that's why I'm working on my degree, honey". It's the whole point. Do you think I want to drive a 14 year old vehicle my whole life? Umm...no. Women.

he has called Matkins and his voicemail mailbox is full??
since then he has ordered a frame from TDK (Throttle Down Kustoms) he does YJ frames and others but he makes to order so it will be quite a while till he gets it!
The good news is his wife is supportive and feels bad that he did all the work to swap the frame only to have that one snap.
she won ten grand on a scratch ticket and is funding the new frame!!!pretty sweet!!
thanks for the help though, i guess it's a waiting game now
Jay
