Overdrive Question on automatic trans.

Need a Spot

When I run my truck with the overdrive button pushed in it seems like the truck has been neutered. Very little power. Is this normal? Not sure how the overdrive on the Toyo's work. Do you guys drive with in on all the time or just when on the freeway?
