2wd's are 5 lug and 4wd's are 6 lug. i think i read somewhere that there are some exceptions though. but for the most part 2wd=5 lug.

I believe 2wd one tons, turbos, and V6's have 6 lug 8" axles

That's right.

And the 2wd 5 lug pattern is the same as Jeeps, etc.

V6 2wd's are still the 5-lug. They do have 8" gears though.

Not sure about the turbo's, but being the predisessor to the v6, I would bet they are also 5-lug, 8" gears.

I think only the dually 1-tons have the 6lug axle in 2wd form, could be wrong about that though.

The pattern is 5 on 4.5" Some jeeps are different, some are the same. couldn't tell you which ones though.
ford uses the same pattern for the ranger and exploder.

I read this on ErikB's homepage "Another tidbit: 2wd 4runners, Tacoma "PreRunners," T100's, and Tundra's use 6-lug wheels- same as the 4x4's (the other 2wd's use 5-lug)"

The linky to that page is here

I've had several 1-tons, they are 5 lug.

6 lugs were used under the dualy rears of the campers. Those are not 1-ton trucks, they are specialized cab and chassis.
