Need a Spot
OK i'm needing a new engine. this is going to be my 4th motor on my 1995 Montero and i'm getting tired of dishing out alot of cash on a rare motor.
so i'm wondering if it would be possible to use and older 6g72 block and just swap cylinder heads?
Thanks for any help

I think you'll be fine with the block, but the compression will probably be wrong, and the pistons for a 3.0 24v sohc are different than a 3.0 12v sohc (valve reliefs and dish volume).
