Need a Spot
I just bought a 38mm weber carb and a header for my stock 22r and was wondering what I should do for the fuel delivery? I have a fuel tank out of a EFI 22re with the built in fuel pump that is hooked up for a back up along with mechanical pump. Is the stock mechanical pump going to put out enougth volume and correct 3psi for the weber? Or should I use the electric pump with a regulator? I am leaning towards to electric pump with a reg. Anyone have any other ideas or opinions?

The weber carb needs 2-4psi. Any more then when you turn the engine off gas will wash oil off the cylinder walls and it'll kill your engine over time.

The stock mechanical pump puts out 7psi, the stock efi pump puts out 50 something psi. I once tried to use a regulator on the stock electrical pump and it couldn't hold all the pressure and would blow the lines off. The regulator works fine with the mechanical pump. You can also buy an adjustable aftermarket electric pump and then you wont need a regulator.

What ever you do, make sure you get the psi down below 4psi and you'll be fine.

stock mechanical pump is fine... I know it'll support more than 160hp with a weber 38mm. (blown)
