I am going to help a friend with replacing his SOHC engine with a JDM DOHC version in a 95 Rodeo.
Anyone know if the ECU will support the DOHC engine?
Has anyone else tried this swap?

YOU WILL NEED TO USE THE COMPLETE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND UPPER ENG ELECTRONICS FOR THE SOHC ENG ON THE DOHC ENG AND IT WILL RUN FINE , THE SOHC ECM WILL NOT RUN THE DOHC ELECTRONICS , COMPLETELY DIFF CONTROLS SYSTEM, DO ASEARCH BACK AWYS ABOUT A YEAR AGO THERE ARE PIX HERE OF THE 95 TROOPER SOHC WHICH HAS A TRANS PLANTED DOHC AND TI RUNS FINE WITH THE SOHC TOP END MANIFOLDING CHECK FOR POST BY LITNIN ,JERRY

Great.... Thanks for the info. Now I feel a lot better about the swap.
I'll post the finished product.
Not sure how I missed the post from last year during my search of the board.
