Getting the Wheeling Fever
just wondering if anyone knows if there is a in tank fuel filter for a 1978 jeep cherokee 4 door with a 360 v8 2 barrle carb, my jeep drives about 2 miles then shuts off, my starter still turns it just wont start,if i let it set for a couple of hours it will start and run another about 2 miles, i replaced the fuel pump (went electric about 5 psi), i replaced the distributor, the coil, plugs, battery cables, fuel filter under the hood, any ideas??

If you cant get there in a jeep you probably dont need to get there

I assume it was doing this before doing all the work.. Sounds like a lectric part is heating itself up and stops working. If there is a spark box on that Jeep there is your problem. On cj's and wranglers it is on the drivers fender under the coolant container. Costs bout 20 bucks.

yeah it was doing it before all the replacements, they were done in an attempt to fix the problem besides it needed a good tuneup anyways,
