I have a 2004 Rubicon and would like to know what tools I need and the steps involved. Headed down to Moab soon and would like to have the tools needed. Can any one list these for me so I don't have to actually pull the axle and make a list? Also any tips for disassembly and reassembly. Thanks Re: Dana 44 tools needed. If it is the actual nut then you will need a reverse torx bit, which your local auto parts store should have. Other than that you should just need a decent set of tools. Don't forget a cheater bar, but if you have a hi lift the handle works great for that.
