A couple years ago, when I left for work it was a beautiful spring day, so the top and doors of my CJ stayed at home. About 20 minutes before I got off, the torrential downpour started. I bet we got 6 inches of rain that afternoon, most of it coming down during my 15 mile ride home. At least I had a poncho with me
To top it off, when I got to the edge of town, about 1/2 mile from my house, there was probably 8 inches of water standing in the street. You guessed it, took it a little fast and swamped out the distributor. Fortunately, I was right in front of a bar, so I coasted into the parking lot, went in and had a couple beers while I waited for my wife to come pick me up
Boy I miss those topless spring days

Took the TJ out for a spin around a local lake one sunny spring day.
Got to a sharp turn and accidently scared up a flock of birds. It wasn't rain, but it was definetly wet

Imogene Pass between Teluride and Ouray Co. Bikini top only, rain started in, trash bag on, trail turing to river, came upon tour jeep (J10 PU) with 10 passengers with a flat tire, new tour guide with no tools or how to use them if he did...Our group stops gets out tools, gets his tire changed, but when I get back to my jeep, the Beard seat was overflowing with a lake. The tour driver offers his bright yellow rain coat to keep, after some bailing, and a very wet ride we got back to the hotel in Ouray very cold, very wet. + one nice rain coat.

How about snow? Returning from Moab.
West side Eisenhower Tunnel I70, flat towing cj3a no windshield, no top, Snowing solid since Vail pass, Highway just east of Dillon, was 6-8" deep, we hear on the radio, I70 closed at Dillon, great, we pressed on burb in 4x, but 1/2 way up the 11 mile west side approach to the tunnel, the burb would not pull the jeep anymore...problem, white out conditions, 30 mph wind, no rear driveshaft in the jeep (for flat towing), I get bundled up and have the wife drive the burb, I lock in the hubs, fire up the flatty, and start pushing the burb up the mountain (six wheel drive)with the tow bar. Frozen to the bone. State patrolman watched us drive by, looking amused.

Us and two other 4x4 trucks were the only vehicles to make it thru without waiting for the plows.

The first time I took the top off (hardtop) it was a beautiful summer day, we decided to go and hit the wine trail 45 minutes away with two friends. It was such a nice day, good time, good wine, then the way home. On our way back we decided to grab a bite to eat, we saw that it started to get cloudy, didnt think much of it. But as soon as we pulled into the resturaunt, downpour. I parked it under a tree hoping that the tree would help to keep the rain out a little. As we sat in the resturant we watched it rain for about 30-45 minutes. At times we couldnt see across the street it was raining so hard. when the rain stoppd we decided to leave and we grabbed all the napkins we could, they were the cloth ones, so we could at least wipe down the seats. So glad i got the vinyl seats, a few quick wipes and all dry, pulled the plugs and good to go. Felt bad for the two in the back on the way home, by now it was dark, the rain cooled everything off and we had to hit the main highway to drop them off, 30 min. ride. I left the doors on so me and my girl had the windows up and the heat cranked didnt help much, but the other two froze there a@# off...

Damn straight! Running your topless Jeep in the rain every once in a while keeps you from having to vacuum the dust and mud out of it!

i remember about 9 yrs ago going to work and getting caught in a rain storm... i couldn't figure out why the faster the wipers were going still couldn't see out of the windshield... i finally realized road spray had coated the inside of the windshield. so just stuck my head out the window. that was fun.
