PL3001 #804365 04/11/07 01:11 PM Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 120 9 93yj OP Wheeler I know this has been mentioned before...the 3001 filter is almost twice the size and I've increased my oil capacity like 1/2 a quart. Do you think there are ANY benefits (or not) to running a larger filter? I've always used Purolator Pure One's so these are obviously Purolator filter numbers. Re: PL14670 VS. In a modern engine, with recommended oil and filter changes, the small one is enough. If a larger one would help in ANY way your engine would come with the big one.
