I know this has been mentioned before...the 3001 filter is almost twice the size and I've increased my oil capacity like 1/2 a quart. Do you think there are ANY benefits (or not) to running a larger filter? I've always used Purolator Pure One's so these are obviously Purolator filter numbers.

No I do not! In a modern engine, with recommended oil and filter changes, the small one is enough. If a larger one would help in ANY way your engine would come with the big one. Big JIm <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
