15"x10" rims on a Gen I? #804372 04/11/07 04:31 PM

I have found a set of 15" rims, 10" wide with 3and3/4" back spacing. Would these rims fit without using spacers on my GenI? I just thought I could try these with 33s.

That's exatly the same wheel setup I have in my 95SR, I think they will stick out quite a bit on your truck. Here is a pic of them on 37x12.5 MTRs:

The rims will fit. What size tire are you considering? How much tire outside the wheel well are you willing to live with? I used a combination of 15x8.5 in front and 15x10 in back (both rims with 4" backspace) with 33x12.5's to achieve the same tire outside the wheel well, about 1.5 inch. In the front wheel well, you'll need to trim or bend out the front splash lip and trim the bumper ends. I didn't have any problem with the rear wheels stuffing into the well, with no body lift. However, using the 3.75 inch BS, you might rub a little on the outside interior of the wheel well. A body lift solves most issues above, with the exception of the bumper ends. I'll post some pics of my setup later.

32's on 15 x 8's with 3.25" BS - too much offset, looked good, rode horrible

These are bit wide for regular width (12.5) 33s IMHO. The backspacing is also pretty bad. It will most likely rub with such little backspacing quite a bit. Spacers will only make it worse.

I plan on getting the Roger Brown 2"lift kit *** WHEN he gets back as their website is on vacation right now ***

But for some strange reason it has been hard to source out a set of 15x8 rims around here and I just happened to find someone selling these 15x10s with/without Toyota axles.

If I could find a set of 15x8 rims for some 33s, I will be happy.
