blah, blah, blah. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

nobody said it would hold up to any abuse..... [shruggin' shoulders] hell a D44 straight axle could easily fall victim to these tires.

after talking with this guy and informing him that i felt like a 33....35 MAX is what the IFS is capable of enduring....(from personal experience)........He was set fitting 36 iroks (the smallest they make BTW...LOL)

i don't think wheeling it is the focus.......he described his use as "light"

listen.....i didn't make the dream, i just made it come true <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

That's all you can do. It does look pretty cool, but my guess is that this thing will see a lot of mall time.

Afterall, anyone deadset on a size tire that has been advised against by an experienced wheeler isn't focused on off-roading, but appearance

Still looks pretty cool

Looks awesome in my opinion but its just that....The key word is "looks" not performs awesome. LOL.....Had he put 33's on there it would have been both. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
It will still be a head turner though....just like quite a few other rigs on the road out there.

does th VX have the same steering set-up as a Rodeo??

If the front IFS is anything like an Amigo/Rodeo, inertia, coefficient of drag and all that other crap aside, the bigger issue for him might just be the ability of the steering rack to hold up to that much weight when a tire takes a sudden drop and the bumpstops start to bend... I can see a seal or two getting popped in the near future.

Cool look though!

nope... trooper style. i could see the bigger tires tearing up the tie rods, but Indy4x sells improved tie rods smile

the VX is identical to the 93 trooper RS w/ a 98+ trooper 3.5L, Auto, and TOD borg warner case. Uses a standard Isuzu steering gear box like all the troopers.

this truck got Warn Manual Hubs (eliminated the stock drive flanges) and we installed our HD tie rods.

I swapped a couple PMs with to owner a few of weeks ago, over at VehiCROSS.info - so I knew about the build-up ahead of time... but actually SEEING it... WOW!

Nice work, Matt! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

the VX is *almost* identical to the 93 trooper RS w/ a 98+ trooper 3.5L, the 98+ Trooper's longer 'wide-track' UCAs, Ball Joints, Tie Rods, and CVs, Auto, and TOD borg warner case. Uses a standard Isuzu steering gear box like all the troopers.

Fixed it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

Six Isuzus, so far... still have three of them.
