the only thing i didnt like about a carb is the fact it doesnt like upward slopes but ive since been able to tune it a bit better using a 1-4 psi regulator from summit and i dropped my float level down about 5mm from the factory preset level. i run the truck at about 1 psi in the woods and then adjust it to 2 psi on the street, i have a gauge which makes it easy. heres my thread. http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showf...mp;amp;sb=5&o=14&fpart=1

What other mods are on your motor? I've used the 32/36 and 38mm - couldn't feel a difference on a mildly mod'd motor between the two, unless I went to the gas pump!

ive got a complete engnbldr street rv,os ss valves with his 261c cam ,quench set at .007" thorley header 2/1/2 inch pipes. 5.29s locked on 35x15.5 tsl sx's
its real torquey , my next mod will be the msd ignition.and an lce adjustable cam gear. i get about 12mpg now,i think it runs a little rich on the mains still so im going to run a smaller main jet its a 170/170 factory, im going to try a 165 on both sides. i think the smaller jet will help with mileage. and help me get a little more power in the mid rpm range. now it kicks hard off idle to about 3000 rpm it makes its best power down low which is what i like but id like to help it pull a little higher like 4000 or so.

12 MPG!!! that sends chills up my spine. something isn't right. i cant imagine getting that kind of mileage out of my 22r. the weber can't suck that much gas can it? i get anywhere from 17-24 mpg depending on the type of driving i'm doing and which way the wind is blowing lol.

Over the past few years, my 22r with the Weber 38 has averaged; Off-road days (including to & from trailhead) 16mpg, Daily commute (35 miles round trip) 16.5 winter, 17.5 summer, Highway trips 18. I get these numbers very consistently.
