Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
I cleaned my MAF, throttle body and new plugs this weekend. I have been getting between 14-16mpg around town. I'll post the results after my next fill-up.
Does anyone take off their spare to cut weight? I figure for around town, it would be alright. Then on trips or whatever, remount it or just throw it in the back.

I don't think taking the 50lb spare off your 4000lb truck is going to make a noticable difference in gas milage. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

The MAF in my 96 doesn't look like that one - it looks more like a "jet engine" with no wires visible, at least not without some disassembly. Anybody have any guidance on cleaning that style?

mine is the "jet turbine" style as well, i just spray the electrical cleaner in there until i can see them shining (flashlight is required for bling production).
