I 'm dripping two to three drops a night from what it looks to be the transmission driveshaft output. Is that a common area to leak from on an 88 4runner 22RE w 185k? I don't think its the transfer case because its on the other side of the tranny. It looks like oil is spining off something because the bottom of my truck is covered also.

Smell it; if it smells like gear oil, then you know the answer.
Ever have any clutch work done? Those seals don't go bad often. The hardest part is breaking the tranny loose to replace the danged thing.

if you are talking about the motor side of the tranny then it might be your rear main seal

No I'm talking about the driveshaft side. It looks like it is spinning off the driveshaft and it is all over the top of the tranny. The oil goes halfway up the tranny almost to the bell housing.

hows the fluid lvl in the tranny? you can spray the whole area with gunks engine bright GEL it will remove all the oil and leave it dry then you might be able to spot the leak easier. and if you can wash the gunks off with hot water works better than cold water

Another method I've used with success is talcum powder. You can put some in a squeeze bottle and dust the area (once it is either cleaned or at least wiped off). Drive the truck around the block and any leak will be immediately apparent as the dry powder soaks up the oil.
I had a sand hole in the casting of the engine block (under the motor mount!) on a 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L, and without the powder, I don't think I would have ever found the leak. Good luck.
