Hi, I have a pickup with 31's on them but I recently bought some Toyota pickup steelies off eBay, the tires are really worn and I wanted to replace them with small tires (for better gas mileage)That way I can exchange them for when I go long trips on the highway. What are the smallest size I can put on the rims, or should I put them with the stock 225/75-15 tires?

just go with either 225's or 235's. i believe some came with one of these sizes are both. from the factory they are geared for tires that size. ( assuming you have 4.10's)

Go too small and your motor will be in 5th gear at 4000rpm's and going 45mph!

What did you pay for those rims if you don't mind me asking?
I've had mine from my 95 in indoor storage since I bought the truck and I think I'm finally ready to unload them but I have no idea what to charge.
For comparison purposes, mine have about 5-6k on the stock tires and the rims are mint...

225's(28's) is teh stock size for 4.10's, i suppose you could probably drop down to a 27" or 26" for better economy, however be careful to not go too low. Being overgeared not only forces the enginme's rpm's to run higher than normal, but also generates a lot of extra heat in the transmission.
More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else. '90 X-cab 4.88's 33 BFG AT's, rr ARB, Headers, Ignition upgrade, cold air induction. '91 X-cab 5.29's 315's BFG MT's, rr ARB, custom bumper and flatbed

To my opinion Toyota trucks look much better with bigger tires <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
