does anyone know where i can get a jeep type cover for my bed? I'll post a pic tomorrow of the skeleton to support said cover, but I'm just lookin for somethin that would involve riveting some snaps onto the sides of my bed and snapping the cover on (fully removable of course). maybe someone knows where i could send in some dimensions and get a custom cover built for a reasonable price? i was also thinkin that i could make my own but i wouldn't know where to get heavy enough materials.

Good grief, you're in Kali; get in the Yellow Pages for auto upholstery or tarp and awning.

There are a number of upholstery shops in the Sacramento area that can handle the job. Two that come to mind are Acme upholstery (it could be Acme Top Shop) or North Highlands Upholstery. Mind you, it is not going to be cheap. I have also seen people adapt Jeep bikini tops on their rigs. Let your fingers do the walking through the Yellow pages under upholstery and you do the thinking. Also, check the classified ads in the Bee and on Craigslist to find someone whom does side work out of their home.

thanks guys i'll see what i can dig up. my flatbed has a trapdoor with a box that that i anchored to the frame underneath. the top of the bed is not water tight though as i ran out of diamond plate, and mostly time, so these april showers keep soaking my tools. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

and please excuse me for being the dummy that i am and not thinking upholstery. usualy i think couches and seats when i think upholstery, makes perfect sense now though.

Blue Collar Supply and S & K Steel both sell remnants of diamond plate. Both are located on Florin / Perkins road with in a mile of each other. If you have never been to Blue Collar Supply, it is well worth the trip.
