I'm having carbon build-up, as noted in other threads. One thing that needs to be done is cleaning out the intake manifold. To do this, I need to find a vacume port, put a cleaner in it (after the mass-air sensor), and rev the engine a bit.

How do I open the throttle from the engine compatment? It don't have no linkage. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I can figure something out. I just thought I'd ask before I made a N00b mistake. smile

Hey, Fred! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Tie string to gas pedal upper pivot -- run it through the bottom of the steering wheel, out the driver-side window, and around to the engine compartment, and tie it off near the driver-side headlight... you don't want to catch it in the fan or belts!

...or you could just have Jane run the gas pedal. It is her truck anyway, right? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" />
