Need a Spot
The front end on my 90 Montero sounds like a symphony of squeaking. Any ideas?

In addition to the Upper control arm shafts/bushings, Front shocks, & Idler Arm, also check your anti-sway bar bushings. They make a horrible sqeaking noise if they're old and worn. Replacements are available at the dealer. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

My '91 needed every single thing replaced when I got it, and I haven't done all of it yet. Actually, I haven't done much. I replaced the inner and outer tie-rod ends and all four shocks. I've got the lower control arm bushings but haven't put them in yet, and I still need to get the uppers, as well as all four ball joints and the idler & Pitman arms. It also needs sway bar link bushings, and the steering stops need attention as well. This is the most expensive free car I've ever owned.
