I was talking with my neighbor today about his forklift business and mentioned that I had seen a post on here about Mitsubishi 2.6 propane (Clark) forklifts. He called me a little while later and told me he had everything on the shelf to do the conversion if I wanted but said at this altitude, there would be about a 10% loss in power. My question is, would this conversion work well with the conquest turbo and is this conversion really cost effective? Do you get"miles per pound"?since propane is sold by the pound? What is good mileage with propane? How does it compare in mileage with gasoline?

Sorry! this should have been added to the previous post regarding propane 2.6! If moderator would move this that would be good... Went and looked at the Clark forklift. It is a 2.6 G54 like in our trucks but the intake sweeps down slightly and the exhaust looks more like a header that is turned so the exit is at the front of the engine. These pieces are not necessary for the conversion however. Looks as if this may not work for automatic trucks due to lack of linkage for kickdown cable but do not know positivly.
