Some African and Middle East, and I think Australia models come with a turbocharged 3.0 liter 4 cylinder diesel. There are only a handful of folks that I know of that have swapped out the V6, since it is not as easy as the 4cyl swap, but it can certainly be done. There isn't any one part that is very difficult, but there are a whole lot of small things to do. Edit: that thread doesn't really get interesting until the 6th page or so.
