Just to ride on Sean's coattails, who is riding on James' coat tails, I reached the half-way in my vet school career today. I can't brag about GPAs, as we are on a pass/fail system BUT...you know what they call the person who graduated last in their class from vet school, right?

Doctor. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It is a good feeling. This year and this semester have been worlds better than last year. At this time last year I was completely burned out. This year, not so much. Yippee!!

Congrats to James and Sean (like always), but just pay some homage to the poor sucker who is burning about $200/day during the school year.

Later,
Michael

You don't want me treating you. Though we get better drugs, we also get gloves that go to our elbow. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

PS, Humans gross me out anyway.

Eh, I would argue the better drugs part. I unknowingly ingested some PCP many many years ago (before I was old enough to drive; some bunghole put it in our weed) and that was no fun whatsoever. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />

That is awesome!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I am reaching a milestone of my own finally. I am going to walk in graduation here at UConn on sunday, and then I will earn my undergrad diploma in Accounting this summer once I finish three additional Spanish classes.

Good luck with the rest of your school. I know what you mean about the cost, I will be very glad when I am no longer writing checks to the state of CT for 24,000 dollars a year. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

That's really cool Michael. Well, except for the reaching for the horse colon part...

Weird that youse guys are graduating and I'm waiting for my two boys to graduate next year and the year after. Could give a guy an age complex.

Congrats.

The age complex is not too bad. I am probably about the 5th oldest in my class, but....

Let's talk about gender complex. We started with 23 guys out of a class of 107 and are down to 21 in 99. The class behind me has about 18 in 99 and the rumor is that the incoming class for next fall has only 7 out of a class of 95. The world of vet med has taken the term "gender shift" to the extreme.

While the sea of estrogen may cause me to actually ovulate by the time I graduate, it is pretty cool. My classmates are truly some of the most amazing people I have ever had the chance to be around. Ya want to strangle a few from time to time, but...it is like a great big family. Can't live with them, not a real good idea to date any of them and ya can't kill them.

Michael

Talk about a target-rich environment! :pimp:

Although your classmates-are-family comment strikes up the banjos...
