Yeah I started working on it a little. I still don't have any money since I'm still in the academy but I have been working on those things that don't cost much more than time. Front bumper is done except for final welds. I have a friend that has a TIG machine and he is going to finish it for me. I figure it will look better than a MIG weld. I also have to cut the hole for the Hawse Fairlead and get a syntetic rope of it.

I'm pushing a 70* approach angle and if I went up to 37's I should be real close to 90*

I also have most of the parts to start on the rear disk brakes with in the next couple of weeks.

I still have a final exam that if I don't pass, I won't have a job so I'll be studing over the next three weeks and then I'm FREEEEE. Can anyone say 24-on 48-off; Every day is Friday; Wake me up to send me home; 10 days a month; 120 days a year.....oh what will I do with all that time off

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Ha, that looks sick. Nice.

Your future sked sounds as good as my current one, 3 on 4 off... It's pretty nice.

Need a Spot
Very nice build! Hopefully i'll be planning a SAS for my Passport within the next year or so.

Just curious, why did you relocate the gas tank? Just to increase the departure angle? What did you need to do to raise the tank? I assume just simple stuff like cutting the floor pan, new mounts, lengthening and shortening some lines?

Yes to get the tank up above the frame rails to improve departure. I pretty much just cut a hole in the floor and laid down some foam padding and used the flange on the tank as the main support but I am still going to add some strapping underneath to help hold the weight when it is full.
