 Idling with the A/C on?

My '90 model 4-Runner doesn't want to idle when the A/C is on anymore. It will usually idle with the A/C on but very roughly and sometimes it will go ahead and die. Any thoughts?

When's the last time the truck got a good tuneup, where the idle and the TPS were set up properly? Once this is done, you can mess with the idleup control for the AC to dial it in with the AC turned on.
