Getting the Wheeling Fever
IÆm trying to find a location to mount an audio amplifier for an audio upgrade in my 2004 TJ. I want to remove the carpets for some wet weather so under the seats is no good, and I have an add-a-trunk in back so there is no room there. Has anybody ever tried mounting an amplifier behind the dash?

Body Damage is Cool
What kinda system do you plan on running? If not too big a one, you can get a fairly small amp and get like a 1 farad capacitor...2 items, but easier to find spots for 2 smaller items.

Gun it and run it!

behind the dash isnt a good idea...you still get some small water leaks back there (at least in the older TJ's, not 100% sure about the newer ones)

do you take your doors off alot? you might be able to rig it up to go into your door (there is a bit of room behind the panel)

What size is the amp that you have or are planing on getting. If it's small enough you could put it in your center console if you have one....sorry I have a CJ, not a TJ...just tryin to throw some ideas out there.

Would it be sheltered enough if you mounted it under the seat, but instead of on the floor, mount it to the bottom of the seat itself?
