If i'm violating any rules here please let me know.

My truck had a camshaft seize. Opening up a whole can of worms. I've done a bit of prep work, but now do I want to continue further? The only way I see this thing being fixed is to rebuild it. Unfortunately I don't have the time, place or money to do a complete rebuild. And i'm not sure if I want to do just the heads and leave myself open for more problems. (anyone here redo the heads on a high mile 3.0 sohc?)
If I do decide to get rid of it I would at least want it to go to someone like the people here. I think there is plenty of life left in this truck however I might not be the person to do it.

Put good heads on it and pray, IF:

oil pressure was good
compression seemed good (or check it with the bad head if the valves seal - no cam necessary - compression pressure will be low initially because must use cylinder vac to lift intake valve off seat - extended cranking will make high cyliner pressures - no exhaust opening...)

I spent $600 on a set of rebuilt heads on a 265k motor...

Oil pressure was normal when it went, And continued cranking oil pressure would clime to normal levels.
Hmm....
