Need a Spot
put a new hg on.and now i think i have a bad head bolt.so what threads are stronger the block or the bolt?torqed good when it was cold but i checked when it was warm and it just turned.and also is my hg still good do you guys think or should i push it off a cliff.or maybe it would make a good fire for a party?

The bad news is that the threads in the block will typically fail before the head bolt threads will.
Typical reasons for this problem:
1) Using late model head bolts in an early block (not enough thread depth)
2) Overtorquing the bolt(s)

Good news is that you can helicoil your block.
One makeshift solution is to use an ARP head bolt in that hole, as the ARP will sink to the bottom of the thread depth. Make sure you clean out the hole before installing the bolt, consider chasing it with a good tap and using a micro vac to get all the crap out.

Yank the head, run a tap through all of the holes, Time-cert if necessary, install ARP head studs and never look back.
