I was thinkin about getting one of these chips. Since I already have banks headers, K&N, TBS, and other performance nic nacs the Stage II would be good for my setup. The main reason I'd get this is for my transmission. Reviews on it say that it really helps the shifting points at certain RPMs. Thus, making shifting cleaner and maybe even saving gas (wouldn't matter though cus of having to use 93-octane $$$$$) Anyways, I thought I would get yalls opinions first...

Hey Jim, I got this one.
The stuff that you listed for your jeep will do absolutely no good. How can all this stuff save you money if you have to now use mid range gas at on average $0.10 per gallon more.
If it takes you 15 gallons to fill up and you fill up once a week, that is 1.50 per week, plus the cost of the add ons.
How much gas does it save vs how much has this cost you?
Now, if you were building a motor that would run above 4000 RPM, I would say go for it, but let's face it. The motors in our jeeps spend most of the time below 3000 RPM.
Big Jim said it best when he said if you see a dead dog on the side of the road and you have to get rid of some money, lift the tail of the dog and stuff away. You will get about the same bang for the buck.

I second that and even had problems because of k&n filters, but instead of shoving the money up a dead dog butt you can hand it over to me. im sure my wife would appreciate you helping pay for her college courses she needs to take so she can keep teaching
out of all the jeeps in this town the d**n gremlin had to invade mine
I've done so much, with so little for so long i can practicly do anything with nothing

on my 97 i have a cheap universal cold air intake with a TBS and a borla header and catback, a friend has a 99 wrangler with custom dual exhaust and the computers been flashed with the latest stuff from the dealer which is supose to add some more torque and hp, both jeeps have 3.07 gears with auto transmissions and the 4.0, i have my friend beat by atleast 2 car lengths before 35mph from a dead stop, people will nag and say dont waste your money it doesnt work, but ask them if they've tried it, becha most, if not all, will say they never have
