Changed my fuel filter today. The previous owner used vice grips on the fittings so that was fun. He also managed to yank the tube into the filter out of the plastic clip on the frame and never put it back into the vertical clip close to the input. Without being clipped in I was able to swing that tube around like it was hooked to a rubber hose going into the tank. I can't really see past the fitting, but is that last hose to the tank supposed to be a flexi or was that scabbed in by the PO?

I am assuming you are talking about what's attached to the supply side rigid tube?

It's flex on my truck.

I'm going to have to look at it again soon, because I lost tank vacuum.

Let us know what you find. I have trouble with losing the vacuum on my tank too- sometimes. I think this is common.
