Hey guys,
Scott and I went wheeling last weekend. The first day I didn't get many videos at all, only because I was more focused on spotting my brother so he does not roll his truck. He does have a habit of getting into real sticky situations. As a matter of fact, we did have a near death experience that unfortunately was not caught on tape. Anyway, Here is the video I made. Enjoy. Keep in mind the slope pictured in these videos is steeper than it appears.

That was a cool video. I liked the shots taken from under the vehicle. Let me guess, duct tape? The soundtrack was good except for some reason I had the uncontrollable urge to dance during the credits.

Sadly that is how it works unless you are good with the camera and have the correct equipment and lenses. Which I do not.

Yeah, the thing is, the really insane stuff wasn't on camera b/c spotting was neccessary. It was only my brother and I so he had to choose between spotting or filming. I think to really get some good shots of the more insane climbs, I need a good spotter and good film taker along with me the driver, so that makes for 3 people on the next wheeling trip. This is why wheeling with a convoy is handy, b/c wheelers not on the obstacle can spot/film, if they know how

Nice wheeling! Wish I could wheel with you more often. I see you'll be ready to wheel with me next time we meet and probably go even further than me this time around. (talkin about the green 97 "LSR" when you only had 32")

So how are the gears and the x-case gears doing. Crawling pretty good?

gears are great! helps out ALOT on steep declines (don't have to use brakes anymore) inclines (just have to barely touch throttle). gives you so much more control. in my opinion, transfer gears are definately worth $1,500 ($1000 parts, $500 labor). just have to be careful when you have them in low without a front bumper or winch on the front of your truck on steep inclines b/c you can easily pop your entire front end off the ground. I did that and almost rolled it backwards. but other than that, gears are great!
