Need a Spot
i just got cj mirrors with a bracket that allows me to attach them to the windshield hinge. i noticed that at anything over 30-35 mph they whistle. Any ideas, or is this normal. It's not coming from the bracket i checked. it seems to almost come from the bolt that holds the mirror to the arm.

new to jeeps, but love em already.

I whistle when I'm happy! Maybe they are just having a good time?

Take a little tape and wrap the offending parts to see if it will stop. One cause might be a split acorn nut, usually found at the spot you think the whistling is coming from. Another is the mirror housing at the same bolt may be allowing air in behind the mirror. Like I said, tape up the spots one at a time, then seal or replace the happy, musical, little singing, drive you nuts $#%@@!!! Them and squeaks ..........

Get yourself a set of nice mud tires. The singing of the tires should compliment the whistling.

Then, if you don't like the tune they're singing, you'll need to upgrade your stereo system so you can hear the music over the tires

haha, It's all just one vicious cycle. I think they do it on purpose to spend more money... My money tree dried up a long time ago.
