I think my Igniter has gone bad however, I'm not sure how to test it. Could not find any info on FSM posted at http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/

Engine runs rough at idle and often stalls. While idling the engine consistently loops from near stall to aprox 1000rpm.

Diagnosis till now.
New plugs(properly gapped)
New injectors
New wires
Newer distributor(properly gapped and inspected)
Primary and secondary Coils tested
BTDC set @ 8-10deg
Volume Air Flow Meter checked for proper risistence

When removed plugs have excessive fuel and carbon build up.

Items yet to diagnose. Igniter & ECU/ECM.
Could a faulty TPS be the cause?

pull the engine codes....or check the intake behind your air flow meter. my hose had disintigrated and that had caused similer problems. cost me 120$ (!) from toyota, cuz i didnt have time to check the wreckers

I believe the only way to accurately test the igniter is to use an oscilloscope. Your best bet is to find someone here on the board or on yotatech that is parting out a similar rig, and buy the igniter from them and try it.
