Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey guys, this morning on my way to work,,,,my monty didnt heat up to normal operating temp. I have never had this problem in the last ten years. Any thoughts? Could it be just a failed thermostat? I havnt had a chance to check it out yet. Guess Il know what Il be doing after work.
Thanks for any info

Sounds like the thermostat may be stuck open. How long has it been since it was replaced? If it's been more than a couple years, get another one (with gasket, of course ) and slap it in and see what happens. That's the easiest way, and it'll keep the fret-factor down Good luck

Doubt it's going to be the sender wire. It wouldn't move at all if it was. Could be the sender, get the FSM out and check your resistance values across the poles before you replace it though. If they're in spec, it should be the thermostat stuck open Simple fix!

Thanks guys,,,I figured it was a failed t-stat. My temp gauge is moving so I figured its good to go. How many times can we say our montys are running cool

If it's warm outside and you're running the A/C, if so equipped, be sure the auxiliary (condenser) fan is coming on.

Well, that was an easy fix How many times can we say that, as well, about our Monty's
