Need a Spot
I've got an 86 4runner and I'm new to the efi thing.Where is the test plug so I can set the timming?I looked on 4crawlers site and what he shows I dont have and a search turns up nothing.Haynes just tells me what to short not the location.

Actually I think 86 still had the early style connectors, so they'd be plugged into some little rubber holders on the right of the engine bay as you face the engine.

I want to say 88 was the first year of the rectangular diagnostics plug over by the fuse box.

Not a very good close up but it gives you an idea. The truck is an 85 but the EFI set up is from an 87 4runner.
