Getting the Wheeling Fever
Does anybody know of a good method to fix the seat belt retractor? I am getting tired of the seat belt hanging out of the door. I think someone wrote up a method a couple years ago, can't seem to find it now though. Thanks!

And this article in the main Toyota section:

I laid my belts out on the porch and used a spray-on uphostery cleaner and brush to scrub them, then hosed them down and let them dry. Once dry, spray with something like ScotchGard and reinstall.

Did you notice much difference in how they went back in after you did that?

Yes, helped quite a bit, makes the belt easier to slide over the loops and into the spool. That plus retensioning the retractors makes them actually retract fully.

Body Damage is Cool
I ended up washing mine and it worked great. Just tie some socks around the metal parts and toss them in.
