Need a Spot
My wife just ordered an 08 4 door wrangler "x". She ordered the upgraded wheels with 245/75/16 all seasons of course SHE wants them off and a more rugged a/t or m/t installed. SHE would like to go with a 265 or 285/75/16 without any lift if thats possible. Thanks for any help!!!

I think I would drive it a while on the 245's and see what the factory thinks is the optimum preformance and milage before changing out to a larger size...Then you would have a marker as to what difference the new size tires really made.

Body Damage is Cool
If I'm not mistaken they come stock with 31's.

The tire sizes you mentioned are...
265/75/16 - 32x10.50
285/75/16 - 33x11.50

I would imagine that the 32x10.50's would fit, but I would be worried about the tires rubbing during any kind of off roading. The 33x11.50's I doubt will fit without any lift. If she is set on the 33's, then just buy a coil spacer lift. They have those in 1 and 2 inch lifts, and they are cheaper than getting a full suspension lift.

Hope this helps.

Thank you both for the input. probibly gonna go with the 265 bfg a/t, measures 31.7x10.5 on a 7.5" rim.
The Rubi has 255/75/17 (32.05x10.05 on 7") rim.
I would like to try to talk her into my tires so i could get 33's
