YES BUT U CAN RUN FACTORY 5 SPEED OR TH350 OR NEWER 4 SPEED AUTO. SWAP IS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AT DOWNEY SITE THEY HAVE CONVERSION MANUAL ON LINE THAT STARTS WITH PULLIN HOOD OFF TO PUTTING IT BACK ON <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

MAYBE, DOWNEY CLAIMS THIER KIT MAKES IT BOLT IN W/FACTORY 5 SPEED. I HAVE TO CALL THEM, IM ONLY GOING BY WHAT I READ ON THIER SITE.LET ME SAY THIS: I COULD BE WRONG <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

what is the 3.8 good in other than a lesaber.? Buick, Olds and Pontiac used the 3.8 in many models.

isn't a lesabre front wheel drive? i could be wrong. The first year or so of the FWD cars used the RWD 3.8.
