YES BUT U CAN RUN FACTORY 5 SPEED OR TH350 OR NEWER 4 SPEED AUTO. SWAP IS EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AT DOWNEY SITE THEY HAVE CONVERSION MANUAL ON LINE THAT STARTS WITH PULLIN HOOD OFF TO PUTTING IT BACK ON <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

I think the 3800 3.8L front wheel drive V6 has a different bellhousing pattern than the rear wheel drive 3.8 that is used for the swap (Regal motor)

Buick, Olds and Pontiac used the 3.8 in many models.

The first year or so of the FWD cars used the RWD 3.8.
