 bent relay rod?

My steering wheel is at 2 o'clock right now when driving straight...after I ran over a fair size rock pretty hard unintentionally (driver side). Ok, so I need an alignment but maybe bent something. It seems like the tie rod is hitting the ...crossmember tower? -not sure what its called. What did I bent? With the wheels pointed straight, there is about 1/4" clearance between the tie rod and the crossmember tower on the driver side. Center link looks bent to me and looks like its causing the TRE to rub on the frame. I would check your idler arm too since that is usually the weakest link. The center link should be straighter than yours looks. ![[Linked Image]](http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n62/erikbeeb/th_MVI_0805.jpg)

2nd on the pitman arm, looks bent at rod end side as well as the pivoting end at steering box... steering relay rod also bent, ive hit some rocks i was sure did that to my front end...scary . <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

In the 1st pic it does look like the pitman got straightened out a bit, but in the other two it looks okay to me. That centerlink is wasted, though. Nice job!

I finally got it fixed. I took it to the dealer and they fixed it for free <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> What a difference...I just realized how bad it was. You're lucky, that's the weak end of the relay rod - when they pop it's almost always at the taper where the pitman arm mount is. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

So i now have a loud squealing noise when turning (stationary position). Before, it would only make that noise at full turn. So im thinking of replacing the bushings on the idler arm and....rebuild kit for the steering box? Sluggish steering at 0-low speeds or when it is under stressed (i.e. aired down tires, downhill/uphill). PS fluid level is ok.
Anyone selling a used TC idler arm?

turns out to be...its the power steering belt slipping. i just re-tension it. still does it though at full turn. ive always thought its the steering stop.
