When I run the A.C. After a little while I think that I smell coolant in the cab....Although no leaks.
Could have been my imagination but I thought that some moisture or droplets had sparayed out to the driver (Not sure about this though).
What could it be????????

Took a look at the heater core position, and by using the 'cover cutting' short cut you should be able to access the core with only removing the raido panel, not the entire dash! I will be a guinee pig later this summer to test this theory!

Mine has smelled like coolant when I first turn on the heater since new. 11 years and 160,000 plus miles later stilll no leaks. It must be a Kia Thing, I still don't understand. Dennis

Mine too. But never found a leak. My wife didn't want me to buy it because she could smell it. 80k miles later, she dosn't mind. Think thats a standard feature. Not a option. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Yo, Iron. Not sure if that is possible but interested to hear about it. Heater core is too long, I think, to clear the dash. But heck, who knows? You might be able to pull the dash clear enough to get the job done without pulling the controls and such. While you're in there mucking and sweating about in the dash, be sure and meditate how how much it would have cost Kia to provide a couple of screws and a real cover to make it all easier. Lemme know how it works out. Stanley
