Im about to put in a 84 Dual t/c motor in my 86 stan cab 4x4. But im going to keep the tranny form the 86 in so is thier any little stuff i need to know be for i drop it in? I all ready pulled the 84 motor and im going to pull the 86 this week. It looks like it will be plug and play? [color:"red"] [/color]

if you have not bought the adaptor yet. try the 4.7 gears and single twin shift case. I have the duals, my wife has the single with the 4.7s and I think I like hers better. 5th gear low is just a bit lower then 1st gear high. or real close. And it saves you the price of new drive shafts.

Marlin told me to not use fifth gear low while wheeling, it is too weak.

!!!Well heres an up date!!! I got it in and the only thing diff is the alternator. Other then that its pretty much Plug and Play. Now it is time for a SAS.
