Need a Spot
So I've been shopping for a new truck that I can build into a decent off-road rig but I'm trying to keep fuel costs down as a student. I want a capable vehicle and since the Kia's appear to be based on a car platform I'm inclined to look elsewhere. I've considered the Trackers/Vitaras, but could they tow a small trailer? Are any of the Japanese 4s capable of minor towing? Help me out people.

Yes, I've seen lots of trackers pulling small utility trailers. Its par for the course up here. They can't pull hardtop campers, but I've seen them pulling mini campers and pop up campers.

always working

What about a V6 3.2 Amigo/rodeo sport? It has soft-top model, fully boxed frame, 4wd, and that good stuff... It;s just over 200 bhp as well, so should be fine pulling a trailer.

New Sportages (2nd Gen) are car platform based. The 1st Gens aren't. Fully boxed frame. geared for torque not CAFE numbers. And can pull 1000 easy. I've pulled up to 2800 in firewood over the mountains in mine several times. I average 22 on the interstate daily driving.
