I have no catalythic converter, the secondary air supply reed valve is cancelled, i understand the purpose of the EGR is to return part of the exhaust gases to the intake to reduce the temperature and lower the nitrous oxides emissions, this is only for smog control or affects other things like fuel economy, Power output, etc.?, should i plug the vacuum connector?

EGR is the spawn of the devil. Recirculating the working mass of an air pump is inherently stupid and inefficient by its very nature. I'd remove the egr valve, plug the vac line, and drill-pipe tap-pipe plug the two ports. I think 1/4npt would work, but measure the holes. A true obsessive would also take off the intake and drill/tap/plug the egr source passage at the flange surface to avoid some manifold heating, but such a maniac would have already plugged the manifold water jacket, too...

If you have a leaky egr valve diaphragm, hose plugging might not be enough...

I aint very relgious.

What would happen if I were to plug all the hoses and openings to to valve ? Would this serve the same purpose as the blocking plate?
Of course, I am asking about a 3.0 v6

You'd need to block both ends of the accordion steel egr pipe. I don't know if your ecu monitors egr function (by watching a vac switch, I think), so you either have to burn out CEL bulbs or fool the ecu. Again, I would tap and plug in great preference to any goo filling. EGR gets HOT at the exh end.

mine is a Federal v-6.

(I think roderigas might have a California emissions with the high altitude system...2.6i)

I checked my EGR valve once, and cleaned up. Still getting pitiful milage. 15mpg. Haven't done any highway driving though.

other things like fuel economy,

I cleaned the "black gum" out of mine and got worse mileage
