Actually it wasn't that bad. I just followed the rules in the little booklet they have. I passed the visual/physical inspection on the first try. Unfortunately it wasn't running right at the time and failed the actual smog test a couple times.

I don't suppose that booklet is in a PDF or you can 'order' it online? If you've got it handy, what's the name?

Nice work. Kinda reminds me of some of the first home renovations I did about 15 years ago...I really should redo the bathroom wiring now <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Honestly I cant remember where I got it. The basics are:
1. New engine must be same year or newer than vehicle
2. Must be from same class of vehicle (i.e. No semi truck motors)
3. Engine must retain all emissions equipment from the donor vehicle.

Here ya go Dan. As you can see the majority of the body is just a skin now. Even the doors latch directly to the cage.

looks good. Got any pics of the roof job. I am thinking of chopping part of my roof but the way you have yours looks a little better than what I was thinking.

Dont have any pics handy, but it was pretty simple. I just started at the front edge of the sunroof opening and cut straight across until I hit the doors. Everything behind and below that point was removed.
