I have a 1997 jeep grand cherokee with a 6 cylinder. If I port/polish my intake will i see any significant gains?

significant gains probably not. The engine is a large air pump if you help it breath better it will be more efficient that is all. But not enough to be of notice You will only notice the difference as a total package of other improvments but not by itself

What Gregg said X 2! Porting and polishing will get you the final few hundred rpm at max rpm. However your engine in stock configuration won't reach max rpm.
